Catherine Carr lives and works in Glossop, a Market Town in the Peak District. Here, in Glossop as a former Mill Town, is a rich history of manufacture & textile production and strong traditional roots set in beautiful countryside. Glossop has a thriving craft, design and artistic community with many unique & individual businesses.

Following a career in Nursing, she fulfilled a long held ambition to work with glass by attending Tameside College of FE to study art. Following her diploma she was fortunate to be accepted at Manchester Metropolitan University to study Three Dimensional Design and Creative Business Development.

She is also a founder member of Glossop Textile Arts – known as Glossop Moot* an artist’s co-operative which focuses on textile art.
